1. USE THE COMPUTER AS LEARNING AID
I found that mamy educators use the computer for rewards, and play time, rather than part of the actual lesson. It is ok to use the computer as an insentive, but its main use should be an imprtant funtion in the class. I do undertand that in many classes, there is not enough computer for everyone, but we must create schedules of time where all can benifit.
2.CHALLANGE THEM
I have found that even in the primary gredes, students can retain alot. They love the computer, so they are already motivated. Don't worry about them getting all of it. Much of their computer experience will come with time and practice. Remember, the compter is helping them to process information, and challenging them to think critically.
3. BE CREATIVE
The more creative you are, the more you will make learning computer fun for the student. This will will also teach them to be creative and use their imagination. We live in an age where nothing is left to the imagination. So please insist they them be creative. |
